DUO // Ian works closely with composer Joe Snape, recipient of a Paul Hamlyn award for composers. Together they perform and create new works for trombone and electronics, often with theatrical elements. As a duo, they have worked on multiple residencies at the Glasshouse International Center for Music and have performed throughout the UK. //

CONTEMPORARY // Ian is the trombonist for contemporary ensemble S T A R G A Z E, a European orchestral collective of contemporary musicians. S T A R G A Z E is a constantly evolving project collaborating with a range of composers and performers including Dirty Projectors and Alva Noto, and performing widely across Europe.
